 PEPTIC ULCER

             PUD is name of two disease associated with digestive system.

1. Gastric ulcer

2. Deudenal ulcer

Ulcer is break up the mucosa or sub mucosa of stomach or deudenal wall.its is deep break up of dermis.

Difference between erosion and ulcer.

Erosion.

          Erosion is the superfacial break up only surface area of the memberane or in the epithelium.

Ulcer.

          The deep break of the mucosa or epithelium is ulcer.

Peptic ulcer is the most commonly occurs.

The most common symptoms is dypepsia,nausea, abdominal discomfort,loss of appetite.

Etiology. 

              1.The most common factor is h pylori bacteria.

2. NSAID long term used 

Acute presentation.

  GI bleeding.

Heamtemesis.

Melena.

Shock.

Perforation.

Abdominal pain.

Gaurding.

Shock.

Gastric ulcer. 

               Gastric ulcer is mainly occurred in stomach lining of mucosa in which sore occurre.

Gastric ulcer may be occurred in any portion of stomach.

Symptoms.

1.pain which accure epigastric region and radiate to back.

2. Pain suddenly developed when we eat something.or sudden onset after eating.

3. Feel get better after lying down or vomiting.

4. Patient are frightening from eating food.

5. Loss of weight.

Investigation.

1.cbc.

2. Lfts,rfts, serum electrolyte.

3. Stool examination for h pylori ag.

3. Upper GI endoscopy.

General measures.

Avoiding spicy food and trigger like coffee and tea.

Obesity.

Alcohol and smoking

Depression and anxiety.

Complications.

Perforation and heamorrage

Gastric outlet obstruction.

Deudenal ulcer.

Deudenal ulcer mainly occurred in the first part small intestine of the deudeum.

Sore occurre in deudeum of the small intestine. Deudeum start when stomach end.  The sore occurre the lining of the mucosa of deudenum.

Causes.

Infections eg h pylori

Smoking and alcohol

Stress and anxiety

Spicy food and coffees tea.

Symptoms.

Sharp pain in abdomen

Pain occur in empty stomach

More upon pain worsen in night

Cramps

Neausea with out vomiting.

Diagnosis.

Mainly h pylori test.

Gastric scopy.

Stool test .

Prognosis.

Avoiding trigger food.

Less spicy food.

To loss weight and obesity.
